Deborah, thank you so much for your kind words! I was amazed at how God created sunflowers, and just how encouraging they are to me! I'm so glad you enjoyed this article!
a few years ago, my granddaughters did a photo shoot in a huge field of sunflowers. i've been a fan ever since. thanks for enlarging my borders with your wise words. God is quite a Creator, isn't He!
We have several large fields of sunflowers here, Linda, and the first time I wondered through totally amazed me! God speaks so clearly through His creation!
Thank you for this intriguing post about sunflowers, Donna. How amazing that they track east to west even in a controlled environment without sunlight. As for the Fibonacci phenomenon, I wrote about that myself on my blog, a few years back. Fascinating--and demonstrative of God's mathematical genius, found here and there throughout creation! Wow fascinating! Sunflowers are particularly meaningful to me because a couple years ago, my grandma gave me sunflowers for my birthday (Oct 23) and said, “I’m giving you sunflowers because this is the flower that best describes you.” I love that they point eastward towards the sun at maturity and remind us to await the SON. If I ever get married, this just confirms I should use sunflowers as my wedding flower
Beautiful thoughts! Sunflowers are meaningful to me too, as they were my Mother's favorite flower. She battled mental illness all of her life, in the form of depression, but truly battled to remain hopeful in the darkness. I love that they face eastward too, awaiting the "Son", and remind me one day I will not only see Jesus, but be reunited with my mom.

Your mom sounds like a wonderful and courageous person.
I like to remember her that way, she went to be with Jesus in January 2023.
